EXPERT ADVICE TAILORED TO YOUR REQUIREMeNTS

Pilot-led

30+ YEARS OF FLYING AND RUNNING AIRCRAFT

One point of contact for Bahamian aviation

Five kinds of client, one approach: you get the approvals, the operation and the answers without having to chase them yourself. We also advise on anything else that touches aviation in The Bahamas.

01

Operators

Bahamas representation for foreign and domestic operators: CAAB approvals, foreign operator permits, Airports Authority requirements and water landing applications. One Nassau contact who knows who to ask and what they need to see.

FOR

Carriers and operators entering or expanding in The Bahamas.

02

Resorts, developers and island owners

Air access designed in from the start. We assess feasibility, design the operation, take it through approval, line up the providers, set up the booking and scheduling systems and hand it over, so your guests arrive by air without you running an airline.

FOR

Resorts, private islands and Family Island developments.

03

Aircraft owners

Independent advice on buying, basing and maintaining an aircraft in The Bahamas, with ongoing owner-side oversight of crew, maintenance and costs. Whether your own pilot flies it or an approved operator does, we make sure it’s run properly.

FOR

Private owners and small fleets based in or operating through The Bahamas.

04

Water Access Services

Site assessments, risk analysis and water landing applications for operators, resorts, marinas and private owners, plus annual site-readiness reviews to keep approvals current.

FOR

Anyone who needs an aircraft to land on Bahamian water, legally and safely.

05

Film and production aviation logistics

Aerial logistics for film and television productions shooting in The Bahamas: camera aircraft and drone permissions, foreign operator approvals, water landing sites, and moving cast, crew and equipment between islands. One point of contact between the production, the operators and the regulators.

FOR

Production companies and location managers filming in The Bahamas.

FOUNDER

JP Roberts

Born in Nassau, JP Roberts is a commercial pilot and former Virgin Atlantic Boeing 787 captain. He built and ran a CAAB-certificated amphibious Caravan operation in The Bahamas from the ground up, so he knows the approvals, the water and the people first-hand.

His experience spans international airline flying, charter operations and the practical demands of running an aviation business in The Bahamas.

At Woodstar, he brings that experience directly to clients, offering personal guidance and a clear understanding of both the flying and the business behind it.

I am

A small bird. A personal beginning.

The Bahama Woodstar is the islands’ own hummingbird: small, precise and entirely unbothered by scale. That is how we think aviation in The Bahamas should feel.

The painting on this page was made by my late wife, who loved these birds. It gave Woodstar its name and its character. We bring that same personal care to our work, with close attention to detail and pride in doing things properly.
